Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

How did you go yesterday @Shaz51? Are the diabetic and kidney diets compatible?

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

Hi @Darcy, @lapses, @Adge, @Determined, @Faith-and-Hope

Yes @Darcy , I have 2  Dieticians , one for the kidney

One for the diabetes

And saw the diabetes educator yesterday and then the doctor

Arrrgg , getting there night time is the higher results , have to improve that

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

Sounds like it is going to be a little bit of a learning curve for you @Shaz51

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

Trouble is @Darcy is when I think I have done well for the day my sugar results are high

And then we went to my cousin party and my results was low

A bit confusing but the doctor said there are other things that I have to remember like lack of sleep, how much exercise I did on that day , am I getting sick , drinking enough ect

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

It is early days @Shaz51

Highlighted

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

It is @Darcy and he is quite happy with the morning results

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

Sounds like you have picked up the monitoring side of your BSLs @Shaz51.

Was thinking in one way diabetes parallels BPii in that it is BSLs that need keeping steady rather than moods. Likewise a combination of meds and lifestyle changes keep things in check.

Re: self care -- Food, Salt , Sugar , Water

Very true @Darcy, two nights ago my blood sugar test was 13.9 wow
